Flower of Scotland is a popular Scottish song often heard at special occasions and sporting events. This is also a popular song for the bagpipes.

Flower of Scotland, along with Scots Wha Hae and Scotland the Brave, are considered unofficial national anthems of Scotland.

Roy Williamson of the Corries wrote both the lyrics and music for the song. The song was initially performed by The Corries.

“The words refer to the victory of the Scots, led by Robert the Bruce, over England’s Edward II at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.”

Flower of Scotland” was adopted by the national football team of Scotland, after its successful use by the Scotland national rugby union team.

A June 2006 found the Scottish people voted the song #1 as their favorite unofficial anthem.
